Beauty in the Park

Yesterday brought great
temperatures ~ in the 60s ~ so I stopped at our small downtown lake. I spent a while watching the ducks, etc., that live there. If you really look at them closely ~ zone in on one at a time ~ the coloration is beautiful. Just thought I would share a few of the many photos I took while enjoying my time there.

Along the line of birds my brother and sister-in-law are birdwatchers and recently took me on a walk on another beautiful day. (It is cold and gray today.) It is hard to have a conversation because every few minutes it's, "Oh! Look at that one!" and up go the binoculars.
I was told that we saw three kinds of woodpeckers: Acorn, Downey, and Lewis's!
I love your birds pix!

What a delight to see all our little feathered friends, enjoying some nice weather!!! :)
You have a great eye, and know how to use your camera.

Does that one duck have a hat on? Or does it have a feather stuck to her head or does that grow there? too many questions, thanks for these cheerful photos.
