This afternoon, I went to the 53rd Annual Gem, Mineral, & Jewelry Show at the Civic Center. I love looking at all the interesting things they have to offer. Bought myself a Chakra Wand.

The Missing Man Table

 

When you see the table of the ones who have not returned, this is what it means. Please take a moment to respect those it represents.

 

•The Cloth is White- symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to serve.

•The Single Red Rose- reminds us of the lives of these Americans, and their loved ones and friends who keep the faith, while seeking answers.

•The Yellow Ribbon- symbolizes our continued determination to account for them.

•A Slice of Lemon- reminds us of the bitter fate of those captured and missing in a foreign land.

•A Pinch of Salt- symbolizes the tears of our missing and their families who long for answers after decades of uncertainty.

•The Lighted Candle- reflects our hope for their return- Alive or Dead

•The Bible- represents the strength gained through faith in our country, Founded as One Nation Under God, to sustain those lost from our midst.

The Glass is Inverted- to symbolize their inability to share a toast.

•The Chair is Empty- They Are Missing.

Jake looks so comfortable - staying warm on this cool Sunday morning. I wish I could curl up into a ball like that.

In this life, I have been blessed to have some very good friends with hearts of gold.

This one is very special.  Patrick knew how much I love shells and anything to do with the sea. He brought this windchime to me from Texas on one of his many visits. It’s been hanging on this branch for over 12 years.

My cold is finally better and I was able to fill my booth last night with summer items I brought back from South Carolina.

Small Clematis

I planted this little Clematis about 8 years ago. Every year it has only come up and grown to about a foot. Last year, it grew a little more and produced a couple flowers. This year it is climbing the fence and has many flowers, some open and many ready to open.

Friday Evening

Just left Roanoke where we enjoyed a relaxing delicious Italian dinner. It was nice to see so many people out on this gorgeous evening.

More Deer

Rode along with Mr. Magic and Jake to the post office this morning, thinking it might make me feel better to get out for a bit.  I have reached the coughing stage of this cold and hope it will be on its way out soon.
We stopped to watch 7 deer munching on the grass and trees.

It looks like Patrick sent down many heavenly wisteria sprouts while I was away.  We will have a part of that meaningful tree with us after all. 💓

My Friends

I was only back from South Carolina one day and I came down with a bad head cold.  Last evening, Mr. Magic took me out to pick up some soup and we saw this beauty on the way home.
