On the Road

The reason my camera is always with me ~ Look what I saw on the road when I was walking with Jake.

Watching the Bees

I sat in my bedroom window this morning watching the bees!  I hadn't noticed them on my crepe myrtle till this morning.  There are a lot of them.  Knowing how important they are to our well being, I thanked them for being there and said a silent prayer that they would live on and multiply.  It was a good start to my day.

This is another shot of the deer that stood by my car on Saturday evening.

Pumpkin Progress

My sole pumpkin is growing well atop my Winter Jasmine.  The result of scrap seeds left by the little creatures last winter.

Gift of Beauty

On my way home from church this evening ~ look at the beauty that stood right next to my car and said "hello".

Artist Trading Card

My first "CIRCLES" Art Card arrived today from Carol Weiler of Illinois, and it is SO cool!  Carol, I love your use of circles throughout ~ on the envelope front and back and you've even underscored the "Circle" in my address.  Great use of our Circles theme.  Thank you.

Statue Love

These two statues are at an estate sale in Ohio this weekend.  I would LOVE them both.  I would be happy with the ivy and all.  I bet TWIGGY would LOVE having this buck to sit next to when she comes to my yard.   ......Sigh

Imperial Moth

This IMPERIAL MOTH landed in my front porch planter to rest yesterday.  After planning her journey, she flew off to go visit my friend Therry at the gym this morning.

My Twiggy

Twiggy just left the yard.  She has been coming late afternoon into evening every day.  Not a very good photo as it was getting dark and she was far down in the yard.  I haven't been posting photos of her daily ~ I will only post if something exciting happens.  I truly need to check with wildlife to see what/if  I can put some kind of food out for her.  She looks at me through the window.  I hate that she is always alone.

After the Rain

Roanoke River

On my way home from Vendor Night last evening.  A beautiful peaceful evening ~ I love driving beside the Roanoke River.

Good Monday Morning!!

Happy Birthday, BPK!!

"Star Angel" Mural

Eleven Roanoke Catholic art students (grades 8 through 12) painted this 5' x 10' mural "Angelus Stella" (Latin for "Star Angel") over the past school year.  It was installed in the Roanoke city courthouse in early June.  It was commissioned by Roanoke Circuit Court Judge David Carson.
"Star Angel", the name the students chose for the mural, is the loving presence that the students imagine watching over the people, animals, buildings, mountains, and water in and around Roanoke, nicknamed the "Star City" because of the famed giant star atop the city's Mill Mountain.

It Could Be So Simple

It Finally Let Loose

Sunday Afternoon Storm

It has been rumbling and grumbling for over 1/2 hour with ugly dark clouds swirling about.  I sure wish some rain would fall and maybe bring these 90+ temps down.

People

I love this.  It is SO true.  Take time to remember the many good and wonderful people, lest you lose yourself in the anger and hate that is going on in these days of turmoil.

At the Fair

 Samuel
Jonathan
I am SO proud of these two brothers (my Great-Nephews), Samuel and Jonathan.
They have participated in events at the Franklin County Fair in Ohio for the past two weeks.
Samuel just received a PERFECT on his Communications Project which sends him to the Ohio State Fair to compete.
Jonathan received FIRST PLACE and BEST OF BREED for his Flemish Rabbit and his Champagne d'argent.
They have both been winning numerous ribbons and awards throughout ~ all 4-H and Boy Scout related.
Congratulations!!

It's HOT out there!

92* out there today ~ heading to 100* tomorrow!
Thank you, God, for A/C.

Twiggy Today

Twiggy did not disappoint.  Here she is in the backyard.  She has been here for about an hour, just relaxing and eating the grass.

Cute Little Sneak

 The Little Sneak.

This little chipmunk has been climbing into the window bird feeder quite often and having his fill.  He spotted me at my desk just now, froze in his tracks, then ran down the shepherd's hook!
Uh-Oh!!  She caught me!!
