Artist Trading Cards

Carol Weiler from Illinois
Maggie Goodwin from the United Kingdom
Lorraine Merdjan Kushynski from California
 Stacy Woolsey from Texas

So far, I have received four Artist Trading Cards from the “A Moment with Rauschenberg” theme. They are all SO good. I think everyone enjoyed creating their interpretation of his art style.

Sunday

It was a good day to stay in.  It was a foggy, damp, cold, miserable Sunday!

Vaccine in Blacksburg

We drove to Blacksburg today to receive our first vaccine.  All went well.  We used the back roads to return from Blacksburg.  Cloudy day, but I still enjoyed taking photos.
I don’t think I’ll be seeing the Full Snow Moon tonight.  Too many clouds.

Wednesday Evening

On my way home from working in my booth Wednesday evening. The deer are loving these warm temperatures, too! On up the road, one was sweet and posed for me.

Wednesday

72*!! How could I not be outside? Eager to start cleaning the flower beds for Spring’s arrival. But I better wait ... there is always the chance of another snowstorm.

A Blessed Day

Windows and doors open wide.  Trees are budding.  A blessed day.

63* !!!

It's a gorgeous 63* Tuesday!

Monday

Monday photos.

We started out foggy and rainy. The sun came out in the early afternoon and gave us a gorgeous 53* day. I watched the sun set and the beautiful sky after.
It was a prelude to Spring!

Children

 ~Art by Lucy Campbell

May we raise children
who love the unloved
things - the dandelion, the
worms & spiderlings.
Children who sense
the rose needs the thorn

& run into rainswept days
the same way they
turn towards sun...

And when they're grown &
someone has to speak for those
who have no voice

may they draw upon that
wilder bond, those days of
tending tender things

and be the ones.

Art Cards

Today, I finished my art cards for our Art Card Group Jan-Feb theme: “A Moment with Rauschenberg”.
Going out in the mail to: Switzerland, Australia, UK, Canada, Texas, Illinois, New York, and California. These little collages were fun to make.

FYI - My Rauschenberg art cards are an applause to this very interesting artist:
Milton Ernest "Robert" Rauschenberg was an American painter and graphic artist whose early works anticipated the Pop art movement. Rauschenberg is well known for his Combines, a group of artworks which incorporated everyday objects as art materials and which blurred the distinctions between painting and sculpture. Rauschenberg was both a painter and a sculptor, but he also worked with photography, printmaking, papermaking and performance.

Doxie Dish

Worked in my booth this afternoon. I seldom shop while there, as I don’t need much, but could not pass up this doxie dish I saw today. Jake! I love it!

Icy Cold Day

I threw bird seed out the window for the birds, but Mr. Squirrel beat them to it.

There was a thin later of ice on everything this morning.
