Stars

I came across this quote over the weekend and wanted to make something with it, so I decided to paint a night sky filled with stars.

I like the quote and I am happy with the way this mixed media painting turned out. It is done on 12" x 12" canvas with acrylics and glazing medium.

Hello, Mita. It's nice to hear from you. You have been busy. I hate this time thing. It is so difficult to keep up with you. I am just beginning my day and yours is coming to an end. I hope you had a wonderful day, Mita, and I hope you made something beautiful.

This is a beautiful quote and gives some comfort when we need it which we often do. A piece of art like this can give us moments when we think we are really to torn to even have a good moment.

This has much more meaning than what we use to say when our daughters were little. We had a huge black cat and he was very black. He use to like to sit on the step at night and we said he absorbed bits of darkness to be so black, and that made the stars come out at night.

I took time to enjoy the birds again in your photos, it is nice to hear the bird song and look at the photos.

That is a beautiful sentiment. In light of recent losses, it brings great comfort. I don't blame you for wanting to capture it. Wonderful painting to accompany it, too. I really do feel like I am looking deep out into space, basking in the glow of the winking stars. Heavenly.
