Turkey Painting

This wonderful painting by George Hinke should help put us in the

Thanksgiving mood.

I found it in a 1990 IDEALS Thanksgiving magazine. Enjoy!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...: I remember those paintings (well, prints) decorating the schools and house windows....it wasn't until I moved out here that I discovered what a real wild turkey looked like and was quite disappointed! Because it wasn't puffy!
And of course, there are the farm/factory white ones...poor things of no color or brain.....
Maybe I'll be brave and buy a duck....QUACK!

I am THE LOVERS Tarot Card

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse. THE LOVERS represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made. Originally, this card was just called LOVE. And that's acually more apt than "LOVERS." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about.
