In rememberance of the 4 students who died on May 4, 1970, at Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio.

During a protest of the invasion of Cambodia (Vietnam War), the National Guard shot into the crowd resulting in the deaths of Jeffrey Miller, William Schroeder, Sandra Scheurer, and Allison Krause. Nine other students were injured:

Jeffrey, William, Sandra, and Allison, you will never be forgotten. Although I was not in the crowd on the Commons, I was on campus nearby during the time of the shootings. It is a day I will never forget.

What a lovely memorial post for a simply horrendous chapter in our history.

People need to remember this, to keep intact the ability to have free speech and express themselves.
A dark moment indeed.....
