Can You Imagine?

I cannot even begin to imagine the horror that surrounds the people of Japan. I cannot get the images out of my mind. I cannot forget the pain and suffering these people are enduring now and for a long time into the future. So many of these people are injured - they have no food - no water - no clothing - no heat - they have lost contact with loved ones - many don't know if their relatives are dead or alive - the fear of a nuclear meltdown and the consequences of such.
The news coverage showing the earthquake, the tsunami, and the devastation after, seems so unreal to us sitting in our cozy homes with food and heat. God bless our country and all the other countries that are sending help in all forms. God bless the government officials, the firemen, the police, the medical personnel, the volunteers, and all branches of servicemen who are there in Japan doing all they can to rescue and tend to the needs of these helpless people.
Let's remember to thank God for our good fortune and to ask Him to help those in need.

Audrey, the loss in Japan is so massive and so heart wrenching, it is hard to grasp it. Dad had been stationed there and I think it takes someone who has been there to really realize how small and heavily populated the island is, plus, being volcanic to boot.
Our prayers here are going out...sometimes I feel that is trite to say, but sometimes it is what one has to offer.

No I can't imagine, the loss and fear of more is so much greater then we can see or hear.

It's terrifying and heartbreaking. It is the stuff of nightmares. I can hardly look at the pictures, but I feel like I must. Sending love and prayers to Japan. xox Pam

I cannot imagine what it feels like over there. I hope I never experience it and I hope I can do something, anything, to help.

how do you even begin to recover from something like this? I watched some footage too, and it is overwhelming, and hard to watch. I pray for these good people, and I know they can work together, and start the slow process of rebuilding.

Prayers are all we can really do. I feel so overwhelmed just looking at this devastation, how can they begin to clear away and rebuild. My heart goes out especially to the elderly whose world is lost forever, and all their comforting memories of family are gone. It must be so hard on them. We are so so lucky indeed. xox Corrine
