So Many Books

This bookcase is filled with books.

These bookcases are filled with books.

There are books by my bed.

Books in the bathroom.

Books in my studio.

Books on the floor.

And books in places I didn't take pictures of.
Guess what I did this weekend.
I went to a tag sale and bought a bookcase that is 8 feet long. My DH is picking it up tomorrow, so I've been spending the night rearranging the living room to make room for the new bookcase.
I guess now I'll have some room for MORE BOOKS!
What can I say?
I love books.

I am with you on the love of books, and my dh and I have many, like you. I am a librarian and writer, so that does make sense.

I love your book shelves. I have a 4 bedroom house overflowing with books in every room. My husband says they follow me in piles. LOL! In my opinion, one can never have too many books nor too many cats. :-)

I cannot comment on books. I have them stuck everywhere. Every bookshelf/case I own is filled, piles everywhere.....I so need to purge a few.
But I can't.
And trust me, you'll have that new one full before you know it! ;D That's from the voice of experience!
So enjoy it and fill it....books are the best.

I can so relate, I love books too! I have finally caved and started donating books and giving some away before I appear on an episode of 'Hoarders'.

Shelves! You need shelves above the French doors, shelves above the windows, shelves filled with books, books, books!!! I love books too, but you win. Sorry I have been missing. I have been Christmassing. Thank you for your lovely card. It warmed my heart. Just like your cozy home. **blows kisses** Deb

Oh, Audrey! I love books, too. I have a stack right next to my bed. And a bookshelves stuffed with them (and I do mean stuffed!). There are much worse things than loving books and giving them a warm, dry place to live - lol! xox

Seeing all you books made me want to really touch and see them as in looking inside. We sure do get a lot of books in a life time and treasure them. Well I think it shows a many sided person that can have a lot of books of various interests, and that makes us better.

Thank you for your well wishes and I am getting better each day.

Enjoy the season it is rich with many things we might not even notice unless nudged a little.

I see another thing we have in common. It is a lot of work, setting up a new book case and resorting books. You certainly have your work cut out for you for the next several days! I would love to be there helping you, honestly. I would get to look through your books, dust them, help organize them, borrow some....I have twice helped my dad to move and ended up with a van load of his old books. It used to be that the huge Powells book store would purchase lots of used books but the last time I took boxes of books to them they only took about 4 books. They can't compete with Amazon so well any more. Some of my book shelves have a hidden layer of books behind the front layer. My house is too small for more book cases. The studio is filling up with books too. Well, I have commented long enough. Hope you are enjoying that task.

You can never have too many books. I love them too, and have been a collector most of my life. The new book case sounds perfect!
Unfortunately I don't have much space, and they are starting to pile up in areas they shouldn't, lol!
