Work In Progress

Believe it or not, I really do make art from time to time. I saw this old shutter leaning on the fence outside of a consignment shop last week ~ had visions in my head immediately, so I ran in and purchased it.
I've been working on it for a couple of days. It might take some time to get it where I want it. I will keep posting my progress.

Audrey, I love where you are going with this! I'm not a painter so seeing what people can do with paints is always interesting to me. I look forward to seeing future steps you take with this. Is this something you intend to keep or will you put it up for sale in your shop? I suppose it depends on how it turns out, yes?

You know what is one of the best thing about knowing other artists? We could each have been given this door to paint, and it would look completely different. :) I love that bird at the top, and the flowers - so cool! I can't wait to see it when it's finished. :) Happy weekend - xox Pam

I am as fascinated as the others with where this lovely work will end. When you look at something and it speaks to you, I think that is the best feeling. It's like finding a bargain, fulfilling a wish and getting 100% on an exam,,,,,,all rolled into one. I can hardly wait. The Olde Bagg

It's awesome, Audrey. The colors just jump off the door! I love the colors you chose.

I love found art materials. My husband and I drive around the 'garden district' in our city and often find cast-off treasures. Our best find? A pile of 6 very old windows in the trash by a curb. Only one was cracked. We loaded them in my truck and have been having a blast doing faux stained glass on several with glue, tissue paper and fake weld.

Happy creating! Blessings!

Audrey it looks like some of your neighbor hood kids are at it again. They threw paint all over that good door. Hopefully paint thinner will take it off. Dont be too hard on them they are just kids.....
