Consignment Space Update

This was a very, very long day and my DH, my brother and I are beat!! It took us all day to build the "L" wall. It was difficult to take a photograph to show what the area really looks like. This first photo is my space, empty, before we began construction of the wall. It is 7' x 10' and seeing the backs of things from other spaces does not help with the visual. We ran out of time and didn't get all the furniture brought in because the shop was closing just about the time we finished the wall.
Patrick and I will take the remaining items in tomorrow and I will set up shop.
Even this photo doesn't show a true visual. It looks all squashed and small in this picture. Once I get everything set up, I will take another photo and hope that will give you a better idea.
I am very happy with the fence wall. It looks good, clean, and a pleasant shade of green.
I better go rest - there is a lot of work ahead of us again tomorrow. There is no way I could have done this today without the help of Terry and Patrick. I will hopefully post better pictures of a completed space in the next day or two.

I absolutely LOVE that birdcage you have sitting in the picture....is that for your booth? :D
As Pam said, take it easy---lung crud returns, and usually with a vengance. (as I know from doing stuff many, many times!)

It is a lot of work, and I can see how help was needed. and I recognize how these spaces look, it is familiar to me. It looks like a nice shop and it is very exciting to make part of it your own. That is one of my favorite colors and I always think it is enhancement to items that go into a shop. The part that is so fun is the arranging after the initial work is done. Yoou are going to have fun and pleasure with this venture. Yes, rest and drink fluids as you progress.

I thank all of you so much for your encouragement. It means a lot. I've been waiting so long for this space and then to get sick when I should have been preparing has been a little discouraging. I will make it work, though. I just need to be patient and find a few more vintage furniture pieces to put in there.
Plus, all of you are right about not overdoing. I tend to do that when involved in a project. I DO NOT want a relapse of this. I am not completely over it. I can see how it hangs on and I will be happy when it is gone for good! I'll take it slow! (:

The fence looks amazing. Putting a booth or exhibit is a very tedious, labor intensive ordeal at best. It certainly takes so much out of a person. Please be careful, as the others have admonished you to do. Being well is the most important gift we give ourselves. Be good to you. (((hugs))) until next time
pssst....I am anxious to see your space though, I imagine it will be fabmarvelous....just like you

I love the pale green fence boards. We have people in our co-op who put together their own spaces, especially if they are not on the wall. The wall is covered with barn wood though and a tin top. It is a good background for the leather girl and even my art.
Are you selling artwork?

Oh my goodness!!!!!

Isn't that exciting? I would love to see your shop when you se up store. Oh I always waned to have a store. When I was a kid, I pretended I owned a store when we played. However, I sold tomtoes at inflated prices, that is why I did not grow up to own a real store...

How are you dear Audrey? I hope you are not pushing yourslf too hard!

Make sure yo rest.

Like the poem! The fence is soooo cool and tells of a lot of work. You have had two of the best to help you get ready. So many are very anxious for your "opening" shop and I know that YOU will not disappoint them. GET SOME REST. Zombie 1

Did you pay your rent? I am your landlady!

A lovely color! Will check back to keep up on the progress :-)

Oh! Oh! Landlady, tell me you won't be upset when I get paint all over the floor and the walls while in a crazed state of creativity.... working on those large canvases leaning against the walls and throwing paint about makes for a messy state of affairs!! But you won't mind, right?? Because you are an artist and you understand and you will love all those colors of paint all over the floor. Right???
And, yes, I paid the rent!!!
hahahahahaha

The fence looks wonderful, Audrey! This is going to be so great after you get your things in there, I wish I could come shop. Hope you continue to feel better.

Thanks for your comments on my gecko post, too.
