THURSDAY with Casey

 Meadow Ave.
***
Casey and I headed to Alliance first thing in the morning and spent the day there.  We drove past houses we lived in.  We went to the cemetery to visit Jim's grave and my friend Jeanette Micketti's grave.
Casey wanted to see his alma maters Alliance High School and Mount Union College. (Now University of Mount Union).
We drove by Regina Coeli Church and School where Casey went to school from 6th - 8th grade.
Later in the day we went to Alliance Country Club where Casey had his first job and then on to Meadowlake Golf Club.  This is where we met good friends Donald and Carol Phillips.  When I was pregnant with Casey, I spent many days in the swimming pool there keeping cool.  After Casey was born in October, he learned to swim in this pool the following summer.
We topped the evening off by going to Pancho's Mexican Restaurant in Green for dinner.  Jim, Casey, and I ate there often when Casey was a little boy.
It was a day filled with memories, happy and sad.  A day we won't forget.
