Sunday Painting

The past few days have been very busy, so I decided to dedicate today to painting. I sold a baker's rack and several small pieces of furniture in my consignment space this past week so I needed to get some things ready to take in tomorrow night. The pictures below show just a small portion of the furniture I have stored in the garage where it waits for me to find the time to clean, sand, and paint. I painted some frames shabby chic, gave a small vintage table two coats of cream paint, and sanded and painted the top of an old coffee table. You can see my cozy little area where I have my paints and all nearby, and I would never survive without the small box fan by my side. I accomplished my goal for the day.

For my own personal enjoyment, I even managed to play around with a canvas and some acrylics. It was fun and relaxing. I have something in mind for where this is going, but for now it is just a work in progress.

I hope your Sunday was a fun and fulfilling day. ♥

Great to see some art coming from your space! Sounds like your consignment space is flying, good for you Audrey. I have my favorite spot up here. It's called Flukes, Finds and Friends and they do the nicest vignettes. Pics of your space would be great! xox Corrine

Hi Audrey, love what you are doing with the tables. I had wondered how your shop was going, glad you are selling some things. It is good to be back.

Sounds like you had a fun and relaxing day, and the collage in process is lovely!
I love old tables---love to paint them and glue things on....don't know what it is.
I am currently in search of a commercial dress form on the cheap---yeah, like I'm going to find THAT in Indiana! Need to price them online...ack!
Glad you had a GOOD DAY!
You deserve it!

Audrey I am glad you are getting some creative painting in as well as the business side of painting. It sounds like you enjoy it all anyway and that is what matters. It looks good but especially I like your art work, that is coming along nicely.

i am so proud of you. just DO IT! i have been in a creative rut of late dabbling in this and that, but inspiration is slowly returning and i am trying to tidy things up in my brain. keep it up, art is the best therapy and the best gift.
