Earth Day ~ 2013

You must teach your children that the ground beneath their feet is the ashes of your grandfathers.  So that they will respect the land, tell your children that the earth is rich with the lives of our kin.  Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the earth is our mother.  Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.  If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves.
~Native American Wisdom

Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life.
~Rachel Carson

The earth is what we all have in common.
~Wendell Berry

Great quotes you found to emphasis the importance of taking care what has been given us! I try to do my best by recycling paper, plastic, batteries and my Starbuck's cups! And those Starbuck's cup add up so quickly!! Whole Foods takes #5's and I'm so grateful for that!
