In Search of a Home

Much to my delight, this beauty came visiting yesterday.
Last year, I had many bluebirds visit the birdbath, but I don't remember ever seeing one of such a vibrant blue.
We put up a bluebird house in the afternoon, so I hope they will come here to nest. This poor old birdhouse has seen better days. It survived the brutal winter but it's in need of some repairs.

I simply love to watch the birds. And since I became a blogger, I get to watch other people's birds too. This is the best of all worlds. Thanks for sharing...this very showy blue guy. ((((hugs)))) until next time

The pictures are absolutely fabulous! And yes, the plumage is very bright, especially for the time of year.
Occasionally, I will have a pair that nest somewhere close around here, and in the early mornings will sit on the porch roff and sing, which is right outside my bedroom window.
Nothing more lovely!

XXOO!!

Oh my they are so gorgeous! I don't see any around here except very occasionally if I am real lucky I might see a pair or two going through the fields. I put nest boxes up on fenceposts out there in hopes they might stick around but so far no. Maybe this year.

Oh, Audrey - what a gorgeous picture! We have them in our woods. I have been trying to entice them to come closer by hanging little houses in the trees. Last year one cute little couple nested. :) I think Spring must be on its way - I saw a robin in the yard today! Yippeeeee!! xox

The best blue ever, and we have them at the birdbath in the fall, they sit on a clothes line in a row and wait their turn it seems, so much fun to watch. They like the fields here, they fly out to catch whatever it is they see.

Robins are here, one on the patio today. This is early and we are quite far north.

Thanks for the lovely blue view.

Beautiful Blue, we have mountain bluebirds here but like Jan I don't see them often. We do however have tons of Blue Stellar Jays.
