Butterfly Tree

This past week I finished a painting I started over a month ago. As much as I love to paint, I am finding little time to devote to it right now. I am going to try to make time to do more as I find it very relaxing.

This is a mixed media painting titled BUTTERFLY TREE. The size is 9" x 12" on acid free 110# acrylic paper, matted in a 12" x 16" black mat. I used acrylic paints, stamping, tiny butterflies I cut out of paper, bubble wrap for texture, napkins, and glazing medium.
I have a couple of other paintings started and once I finish them, I plan to list this one and the others on eBay or Etsy.

I love what you've done with this!! The textures, especially the butterflies......the feel of the whole piece. It is uplifting and the color is wonderful!
Eventhough you don't have a lot of extra time, you've made excellent use of it---keep going!
More! More! ♥♥♥

XXOO!!

Beautiful Audrey, It looks stunning in the black mat. It is fun to work on some larger pieces once in a while instead of the ACEO's.

Nice to see some butterflies. The monarch butterfly has been hit hard in mexico and we will not see many of them this year......

Audrey, this is magical! All those varieties of butterflies together -- just beautiful. And I really love the stamping effect. Subtle, yet another wonderful dimension. Brava!
