This guy has been hanging out on our house number for several days now. Beautiful and very large.

He is wonderful. :) We have moths that hang out by our back door. I love seeing all the different kinds that live around here. Such fabulous cammo (but not for houses! haha!). Have a great weekend! xox Pam

I am not certain, but I think that is a young tobacco moth. We get them here---in fact I did a watercolor of one years ago and have scanned and used the image in many piece of collage. They come from--get this--tomato hornworms, or so I have been told.
If that's the case, I would plant a few tomatos just for them!
Usually after they have hatched they will be active in the flowers towards dusk.......just delightful!

XXOO!!

He is beautiful. I will have to compare him with the one we had on our house to see if it is the same. I never did find out what kind it was.

How fabulous! Our moths are gray and a rodent-like color here. However, scorpions do glow under a fluorescent light! **happy Friday** Deb

A coat like leather,he clings to one,
Who knows how far this bug has come?
A thing of beauty upon your home,
From untold travels he rests alone,
He'll stop a while,until he's strong,
Then with the breeze,he will be gone.

Hi !! sorry I couldn't resist writing a little about this wonderful picture. He is truly a beautiful creature!!

I love your pictures, If you don't mind I would love to add a few more writings of poetry to some more of your work ??

Kind regards,
