I'm rather surprised by your last sentence. I don't think steroids is good for us. I partially solve my knee problems by watching my body weight. In winter I usually gain a few pounds and it feels in the knees. So, now I have to shed them. Well, as they say, 'to each his own'. Anyway, Good Luck with your injections! Feel well!
Speaking from experience I can say that steroids, used sparingly, really helped my knee for years
Due to a botched back surgery, I acquired a limp which destroyed my bad knee, so I finally had a knee replacement 2 years ago. I made sure to get a highly recommended doctor and even spoke to some of his patients who all praised his work. After the replacement, now that leg is shorter by an inch. I’ve been through hell. My back is much worse, the knee still hurts and I now need a hip replacement. Honestly, this is crazy! After my knee replacement surgery, they would only give me one Percocet! I cried in horrific pain all that night, begging for some stronger medication to no avail. You can’t make this up! I had a serious case of ptsd for a year and now I’m extremely wary of having my hip fixed. I say all this to suggest you think really hard before having surgery. I wish I’d never done it, but it works for some people. I hope you’re feeling better now. Ha!! 😂 That’s my horror story. (I’ve had 11 surgeries in my lifetime and I’ve never been refused pain medication immediately after any surgery!) xo 🤕
