September

Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.

I love that song! (And Tom Jones, too.)

I'm so ready for some cooler weather here. September's weather always beings 'back to school' memories to my mind. I still go and stock up on 'school supplies' at this time every year because of the great deals on notebooks and pens. I bet your part of the country is amazing in Fall. Blessings!

Audrey - that song always makes me tear up. :) A bittersweet time, September.
As for you and me and this confounded heat, I say bring on the cooler weather!! It's miserably hot outside, and my poor flowers are just wilting. I should have planted cacti - hahaha!
