French Fries

It's National French Fries Day!  I didn't know.  I had a side of Onion Rings with my lunch.

So, who do we credit for these tasty potatoes?  Belgium?  France? America?  Spain?

Does it really matter?  Sometimes they are soggy, sometimes undercooked, sometimes too salty, sometimes not enough.  Some come with melted cheese, some with butter, some are slathered in ketchup, some are not.  But most of the time they are just right ~ Crispy and good!!
