Harmony Duet and More
I received a wonderful package from Mariette Hebert
of Canada. Mariette was my Harmony Duet partner in our Art Card group. She made me this lovely little journal with drawings on the cover and
painted pages. It is SO creative and beautiful. It is obvious she put a
lot of time and love into it. She also made me the little crane that I
will hang in my studio.
The first art card is her Ode to Frida themed card and the second art card (painted by Mariette) is a reward from her Haiku contest.
Thank you, Mariette! This was a lovely uplifting package that I will treasure.
My haiku:
Purple moon shivers
While fish freeze
Beneath the stream

Throwback Thursday
Last Throwback Thursday of 2020
Sometime in High School 1960s - Ripalet-Co was our Junior Achievement company name. We made trivets out of steel from Republic Steel. I still have mine and use them in the kitchen often. The photo is from the Junior Achievement Fair that probably was held at the Canton Civic Center. I don't remember the year, but I do remember helping to make that huge trivet in the background out of cardboard and aluminum foil. It really did resemble the trivet. I don't remember why we named the company Ripalet-Co. I am in the white top, back right.

I purchased these two Christmas gifts for myself and I am SO happy with them.
A 6"x6" piece "When the Water Looks Like Sky" by Roxanne Evans Stout of Oregon and a beautiful 6"x4" journal with Heron created by Susanne Skene of British Columbia.
I feel blessed to have contact with so many talented artists from around the world.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my two dear friends, Carol and Don Phillips! Sending loving wishes for a beautiful day of celebration. ♥
Goats
Timothy and William. These are just two of my niece's precious goats. Maria loves them with all of her heart. I think she has 8 ~ I've lost count. She has named all of them after Saints. I love that.

COLD
19*
outside today. Had to unplug the fountain - ice building up over the
side. Very large icicle hanging from corner of the house. We are
paying the price for our beautiful white Christmas.
Heron Photo
My dear friend Jeanne Stanford lives in Florida and has amazing views in her back yard. She took
this Heron photo today along with photos of Egrets and other birds. I
wanted to share it because it is so beautiful. I love the reflection in
the water. If this was my view outside my back door, I wouldn’t get
much done.
Jeanne is a wonderful artist and has lately been showing her photography skills.

Yummy Gift
Two angels made a "yummy" delivery here this evening. You made my day. You will get big hugs as soon as it is safe. You've been missed.
Thank you, sweet friends Therry and Wally!
Harmony Duet
Our Art Card group did a project called Harmony Duet - an exchange with one other member of the group. My partner was Mariette Hebert and this is the finished piece I will be mailing to her in Canada on Monday.
Everything but the bottom 2 layers are pieces of ephemera sent to me by members of the group over the past 2 years.
I created this 9”x9” Dragonfly piece with that ephemera.

Winter Solstice
"The Winter Solstice celebrates the longest hours of darkness or the rebirth of the sun and is believed to hold a powerful energy for regeneration, renewal, and self-reflection. In Pagan times, the Winter Solstice was referred to as YULE and was a celebration of the Goddess (Moon) energy. It was believed that on this day, the moon would give birth to the sun." Magical.
