Paper Stacks

Seth Apter, of The Altered Page, is the host for PAPER STACKS. Those bloggers wishing to post photos of their "paper stacks" are to do that today. We are sending a link to Seth and if you to go to his blog
http://thealteredpage.blogspot.com
you will find the links to the 70+ bloggers who are participating in this collaboration.

Because I have no more room in any of my bookcases, this STACK of Ideals Magazines are stacked in my studio. I use photos from these beautiful old magazines on my blog.

This is my STACK of journals. Can anyone have enough journals? I have spiral journals, boxed journals, leather journals, homemade journals, small journals and large journals. These are just the writing journals ~ my art journals are in another room.

Now this is a mess. This is my "to go through" STACK. I'm surprised it's still standing. It wobbles when I add anything to the top. It is definitely time to start weeding through it because as much as I hate to admit this ~ there are more "to go through" piles elsewhere. I sure hope I'm not the only one who has these.

This is my drawing paper and texture making STACK. I use these papers, napkins, net bags, bubble wrap pieces, etc., when I'm making a mixed media painting.

Not a very tall STACK, but a stack of recently purchased old prints. Not sure what I'll use them for at the moment, but they were the right price and irresistible!

How about STACKED canvas ~ works in progress??

Not paper, but STACKED paint!!

How about STACKS of beads?

Because of this collaboration, I found stacks I didn't know I had. Thanks, Seth. I need to start working my way through these stacks before I can't get in the door to my studio.

Great stacks Audrey, love your works in progress, please share more often! We would love to see them. Can your paints really be that neat? Yikes, I got some cleaning to do! xox

This is like a gallery of stacks. Great pictures here. I would love to spend a day (or two or three) going through your art magazines and books.

I am cracking up at Jan. I have stacks, but they aren't as neat as yours. I love how you've stored your paint. I have to do SOMETHING with mine, since they are all over the table and on shelves, and I keep buying colors I already have. The creative mind, right? LOL! xox Pam

I love that you chose to include stacks of paint and other art supplies in this - the colors and patterns of all your art, art supplies, and such make for great photos in themselves!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on mine, too :)

Lovely stacks, I am looking at all the things just a little differently now. Even your 'mess' looks so inviting to me.
Keep smiling and creating

Fantastic stacks! I never would have thought of my paint as a stack-even though I store it the same way. Your "go-thru stack" makes me want to get my hands on it and the print stack made me drool. I want to come to your studio for an afternoon and play!!

Yes, stacks come in many shapes and sizes, don't they!? Your stacks are so neat...I too, hold onto many art mags...you just never know. They take up room that is well worth it!

this is hilarious. i have stacks and stacks of art supplies too especially buttons, fabric, yarn, and collage clippings from old books. i envy your paint collection, i need a stack of those since i want to create some new collages after receiving misty mawn's book Unfurling that has really inspired me.

i also laughed with the stack of journals. what is it about journals. i have weeded mine out slowly and just use the really cheap ones from Michaels at this point but do have quite a few hidden somewhere.

maybe we can do some stack swaps, de-stash, blog giveaways? i'd love to actually. maybe you can host? or i can? with linkys?

i know i had something more to tell you since i thought about you mid-week. it'll come to me, i seem to have forgotten.

lots of love your way audrey

Those magazines look very deserving of a further visit. And those journals look like they will topple over if someone walked by too close. Lovely and appealing stacks!
