Amanda and I had a lot of fun the past two days roaming the shops in the Roanoke Valley. I didn't find my dream chandelier, but I did purchase a few items I liked.
This afternoon, we took a little drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. So beautiful ~ even with the color beginning to fade. We then drove up Mill Mountain to the Roanoke Star. It is fun to go up there and look out on the Roanoke Valley ~ a beautiful site surrounded by mountains.

I purchased some skeleton keys - always a good item for altered art projects *** a garden obelisk trellis - with a shabby, chippy paint job - love it *** a metal stake with a fish finial on top - a fun garden item *** a vintage nativity set made in Italy - I love nativity sets and find it hard to pass them up when I see the older ones *** a 1983 doll with a porcelain head, made by Avon - she is so sweet and in excellent condition *** a vintage crocheted table cover - wonderful and in great condition - I put it under a few of my small Halloween pillows and decor.
The view from the top of Mill Mountain at the Roanoke Star - breathtaking.
I had a very enjoyable two days with my almost daughter-in-law. They are leaving to go back to SC on Friday. ): I will miss them until our next visit.

I so love the keys----impossible to find those around here now. I remember you used to be able to go to garage sales and pick them up for next to nothing.
Lucky you!!!!
