 Buy The Season
Having just celebrated its 9th anniversary, Buy The Season has over 24,000 square feet and 150 vendors.  It is well known and shopped by many in the Roanoke Valley and beyond.
 My Booth (#2173)
It is pretty full right now with everything from furniture to linens, figurines, lamps, books, frames, wall decor, Autumn decor, Holiday decor, jewelry, dolls, greeting cards, vintage items, and more.

Many vendors have started adding Christmas to their booths.  I'm going to do my best to hold off till Halloween is over.  I have a lot of merchandise for Christmas, but I don't want to rush the Season.  I am approaching my 5th year of being a part of the Buy The Season family.

Mail Addressed to Jake

Jake received a surprise package today in the mail.  After smelling the package and licking the cellophane, I am guessing he totally approves.  Sweet Ibby Taylor Greer sent this darling package of cards shown above in the photo.  Oh, doxies are SO cute and Ibby has a BIG, BIG heart!!

Casey, living 400 miles from your doorstep was not in my life plan.  But little boys grow up and go where their heart takes them.  My confidence that you carry me in your heart is enough.  Please know my absolute joy in celebrating the day you were born.  It was my lucky day!  I love you.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my dear Casey !!

Throwback Thursday

October, 1984
This was a night to remember.  I actually bowled in this outfit.  Almost everyone in our league dressed up for Halloween that night.  Many of us went out on the town after.  It was great fun seeing people dressed in their Halloween best and I enjoyed being a cavewoman for the night!  I boiled chicken bones - made earrings from them, hung some from my waist, and tied some on the covers I made for my feet.  My dear friend, Bruno, helped me sew this thick furry material.  He was an active tailor at that time, so he knew just what to do.
I remember this night like it was last week.  Where did all the years go?

Life is Good in the Blue Ridge Mountains

It is a cool crisp gorgeous Fall day ~ a little wind, a few clouds, some sun, and the trees just beginning their change of color.  Life is good!!

Happiness is a Box From BLICK

I received this box of goodness from BLICK yesterday.  Many cradled box panels and wire to hang them with.  Does it look like I might be planning to do some serious painting?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Carol !!
Sweet friend, it has been a very long time since we've seen each other.  But, those friends who have been special in our lives somehow find a place in our heart and there they stay for all time.  "Ruth Guth", I wish you happiness, love, and a lot of fun on this special day.
I will always be "Jelly Fish" to you.

Art I Love

Color washed paper cutting by Louise Jenkins Illustration
Louise is an artist, designer, and illustrator.  She lives on the edge of the countryside in Worcestershire, UK.  The main focus of her work is inspired by the countryside, combining animals and nature with the simple imagery of 1950s design that she loves so much.

From time to time, I am going to share some art that I love with you.  Some of this art is on my Pinterest site, but those photos don't always give details about the artist.
There is an endless gallery of beautiful and interesting art out there in the world.  If I spent a lifetime searching, I couldn't view all the work that so many talented artists have created.  Some of it is simple in its beauty and some of it makes your jaw drop.
