Living the Creative Life

Our Living the Creative Life group met last evening at The Green Goat. Food was very good and we had a great time. We exchanged our Round Robin pieces and loved seeing the new additions.

We will meet in October at The Village Grill.

Therry added the Crane.

Audrey added the Frogs.

Margaret added the She Wolf, Romulus, and Remus.

Michele added the Queen Snake.

Wally added the Pyramid and some landscaping.

BOB'S from Skechers

Our art group met tonight. I wore my "BOB'S from Skechers" shoes for the first time. Love them!!

Since 2011, BOB'S has donated more than 15 million pairs of new shoes to children in more than 60 countries. Also, for every pair of BOB'S shoes that are bought, 25cents is donated to The Petco Foundation to help save shelter animals' lives across the country.

Fall Equinox

FALL EQUINOX!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful blessed Fall Season. This is my favorite time of the year. Looking forward to the cooler crisp air and the beauty that only Autumn brings.

From this point on, daylight in the Northern Hemisphere will gradually grow shorter until the Winter Solstice. The opposite occurs in the Southern Hemisphere, where daylight will now grow longer.

Time to say goodbye to iced tea and hello to hot apple cider and pumpkin pie!

Violets

This beautiful violet has been in my bathroom with many other plants, but wasn't a healthy looking green and hadn't bloomed for years. I moved it to the kitchen about 2 months ago. It is now a beautiful dark green and has many flowers ready to bloom. I guess plants like a change of scenery just like people do.

At Vendor Night this evening, I filled my booth with all the remaining Fall and Halloween that I had. I think people are ready to move on to the next season as I have sold a lot of Fall merchandise over the last few weeks.

Willow Tree

I bought this Corkscrew Willow at a tag sale about 4-5 years ago. It was small, had few branches, and was in a pot.

I placed it beneath my studio window where it has been ever since. It struggled the first couple years, but is growing and thriving now.

I love watching it sway with the wind and the birds love sitting on its branches before and after filling their bellies with seed from the feeder.

For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come!
