Letter A

Letter "A" Word Art

ALPHABET/5 MINUTE COLLAGE CHALLENGE hosted by Kelli May-Krenz.
Make a small piece of word art that starts with the letter A and make it into a 5 minute collage.  Every other day, continue on with letter B and so forth until the entire alphabet has been used.

Be Kind

As governors are trying to figure out how to ease back in to a new normal, please remember:

🛑 Some people don’t agree with the state opening.... that’s okay. Be kind.
🏡 Some people are still planning to stay home.... that’s okay. Be kind.
🦠 Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening....that’s okay. Be kind.
💰 Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may not lose their business or their homes....that’s okay. Be kind.
👩🏾‍⚕️ Some are thankful they can finally have a surgery they have put off....that’s okay. Be kind.
📝 Some will be able to attend interviews after weeks without a job....that’s okay. Be kind.
😷 Some will wear masks for weeks....that’s okay. Be kind.
💅🏻 Some people will rush out to get the hair or nails done.... that’s okay. Be kind.
❤️ The point is, everyone has different viewpoints/feelings and that’s okay. Be kind.
We each have a different story. If you need to stay home, stay home. But be kind.
If you need to go out, just respect others when in public and be kind!
Don’t judge fellow humans because you’re not in their story. We all are in different mental states than we were months ago. So remember, be kind.

Copy, paste, and share as a reminder to BE KIND! ♥️

Jake's Eyes

Jake's eyes are back to normal today!  Poor little guy had a rough time yesterday.
SO happy he is better!  It is difficult when our fur babies are in distress and you can't do anything to help other than hold them.

Addiction

Oh, do I have a "washi tape" addiction!  Who knew this stuff would be so loved by artists?

Poor Jake

Poor Jake. He had his 6-month comprehensive exam and 2 vaccinations this morning.
The Dr. gave him a glowing report. But, by the time we got home, he could hardly open his eyes and they were bloodshot and watery. I could tell he was very uncomfortable.
Called the Doctor. They gave him drops and numbed his eyes to check his eye pressure during his exam, and apparently it irritated his eyes a lot. She said things should clear up in time.
So, what’s a mother to do? 😊 I’ve been sitting with him, rubbing his belly, and telling him his eyes will get better.

I LOVE moss!

Experimenting

Journal Spread

Having fun with online "live journaling sessions" twice a week.
I finished this spread tonight.  It was from Saturday's Art Journals & Juice with Jes Vanderbeken.

Prompts pulled:
1.  Add sparkle/glitter
2.  Use a resist technique
3.  Draw something long and something short
4.  Add a collage element
5.  Use bubble wrap

Pretty Planters

It was a cool breezy day, but Mr. Magic wanted to "pretty up" the cement planters out back.  He did a great job!

Memories

 Throwback Thursday ~ July, 1996 ~ Chicago
Terry and I in the Windy City. I love Chicago and never minded going there on 3-day buying trips. Walking through the Merchandise Mart for several days was grueling, but the Chicago night life always made it worthwhile.
Throwback Thursday - 1991-92
I confess. I was an avid bowler for almost 30 years, sometimes bowling in two leagues a year. This was my favorite league and the one I bowled in the longest. The memories and friendships are priceless. I miss bowling, but life took me in a different direction. My lifetime high game ~ 265.
I’m in the brown shirt.

Raindrops

I love how the drops of rain sit on the leaves.  The greens are vibrant after they've had long drinks of rain.

 Lady's Mantle

Soon this Dianthus will be covered with Magenta flowers.

Bittersweet

One last photo.
Mr. Magic and I made a very difficult decision. This morning, we returned dear little Max to the people we adopted him from. We have cried for two days.
As cute as a button and soft as velvet, but full of non-stop energy that was all focused on Jake. Our hope was to have a playmate for Jake, but Max was jumping/biting on Jake every waking moment. Jake had zero peace. Along with our worry of one or the other getting hurt, our nerves were rattled. Giving it more time would have only produced 2 tired frustrated adults and one unhappy dog. Perhaps, Max was just too young.
So... we are back to 3 and will probably stay that way. In order to heal our sadness, we are pretending we were dog-sitting Max for a friend and now he has returned home.

Early Morning

 My beautiful April morning.

Perfect Beauty

I broke off one perfect bleeding heart to press.

Sunday

It is raining today, but yesterday was a pretty Sunday to be outside.

Heron

This beautiful "Heron" painting arrived this morning.  I purchased it from my HS classmate, dear friend, and very talented artist, Jeanne Franz Stanford.
I love birds ~ with a special fondness for Sea Birds!
