While taking a piece of furniture into my consignment booth yesterday, this one calmly watched me drive by.

On My Mantel
On my mantel today:
Robynne Engel-Pirkle, John Sokol, Karen D. Milstein, and Debra Keirce.
I need to frame these, but wanted to display while waiting for that to happen. I truly love the paintings I own ~ I don't have the wall space to hang all of them, so I rotate on the mantel.
"In Due Time" by Robynne Engel-Pirkle
"Afternoon in the Weeds" by John Sokol
"Roses" by Karen D. Milstein
"Forecast for January" by John Sokol
"Instinct" by Debra Keirce

Spring
With snow falling here and there, and very cold temperatures across the country, a walk through THE FRESH MARKET yesterday made me think SPRING!!

This is where Patty, Jim, and I had lunch today ~ Byers Street Bistro ~ in downtown Staunton. We eat here every year when we make this trip to Staunton Antiques Center and to the big antique mall in Verona ~ The Factory.
A Tree
"A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love."

A Special Gift
I thought it would be fun to post this photo of the birthday gift from my sweet great-nephews, Jonathan and Samuel. The first part of my email address is "moonsfolly" and this sweet gift depicts that so well.
Thank you, boys! I love it and will keep it on my desk in my studio.

Mr. Squirrel Strikes Again
Mr. Squirrel was in the bird feeder again this morning. I really don't want to take the shepherd's hook down, so I think I will put some vaseline on it and put some food below for him. I realize he is cold and hungry, too, but I don't want him eating the food that is out for the birds.

Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse
These were the best photos I could get last night. I could see the orange, but I couldn't capture it. It was exciting to watch. We were blessed with clear skies, but it was BITTER cold outside.

January 19 Birthday
Thank you, my friends, for the many wonderful Birthday Wishes, cards, and gifts! Being remembered by all of you truly added to my birthday happiness!
My sister went over the top with gifts and this delicious Black Forest cake. Lunch at Abuelo's Mexican Embassy was great.
I feel blessed to have a loving family and many good friends. I am looking forward to another year and I hope to spend it making art and bringing some joy into your lives in some way.
Casey's call telling me he had planned to fly here as a surprise (like he did 2 years ago), was SO meaningful. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate.

Treasure Hunting
Sister, brother-in-law, and I, spent a leisurely Thursday visiting a few area antique shops. Light snow from Winter Storm Harper started to fall while we were out.
A tangled web of living and dead trees.
Not much snow once we arrived home.
My frozen fountain.
My plant on the left doesn't seem to be affected by the cold or snow.
