What a perfectly beautiful last day of April. I sat outside with Jake enjoying the breeze. Storms are supposed to move in tomorrow ~ a few dark clouds were already approaching the area this evening. Said a silent prayer for all those experiencing flooding and tornadoes this weekend.

Good Deed
It was slow going this morning. Saved these 2 from certain death ~ About 500 feet apart, one on a driveway headed toward the road, and the other on the edge of the road headed for traffic.
Moved them both in toward the woods. Today's good deed.
Once home this afternoon, found this tiny squashed lizard in our driveway. We had the drive sealed the other day - he looks like he got trapped in it.

Living the Creative Life Meeting
Our Living the Creative Life group met this evening at Mamma Maria's. We each had a delicious meal and then shared our "flower" themed art.
Tricia brought her cigar box that she is still working on and plans to incorporate flowers into it. Therry is making a shrine that is dedicated to Yoga in some way and she has made a lotus flower that will be incorporated into the shrine. She also painted a lotus flower (behind the 3-D lotus). Audrey painted a whimsical floral painting and did a floral mixed media piece, too. Wally is going to post his flower themed paintings on the group page - one is daffodils and the other is a still life with flowers.
It was a fun evening ~ we talked and laughed a lot throughout the night. Our next meeting will be on June 8 with details to follow. The theme that we will be working on during the next month is "Myth".

A Fun Evening
Had a super fun evening at Olive Garden with Mr. Magic and good friend Phillip Morgan celebrating his birthday. Phillip liked his devil doll.
The strawberry/mango frozen margarita was VERY good!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Phillip !!
Way back when we first went to one of your estate sales, little did I know that we would become friends. How could one not enjoy your company? Under that sarcastic front, you have a heart of gold, and your sense of humor is appreciated more that you know. I am so glad that we met.
I know how much you would love to be in Florida, but since you can't be right now, here is a photo for you to drool over!
So happy that we will celebrate with you at dinner tonight.
HAPPY HAPPY DAY!!

RAIN
Day 4 of rain rain rain with more tomorrow! Drove by the Roanoke River late this afternoon and found it to be raging and well over its bank.
This is one of the benches that is along the walking path!
The walking path is along side the fence that is under water.
The river normally only goes to the right of the center trees.

Earth Day 2017
"The earth is what we all have in common."
~Wendell Berry
It belongs to all of us.
It was our ancestors, it is now ours, and it will belong to our children in the future.
We must care for it, love it, cherish it.

Lunch at POP'S
Some members of our Living the Creative Life group met yesterday at POP'S for lunch: Megan Taylor, Kristie Taylor, Audrey Fish Pfeifer, Therry Neilsen-Steinhardt, Wally Neilsen, and Tricia Scott. (Tricia is taking the photo).
We met to wish Megan and Kristie good luck and to say our goodbyes. They are moving to Florida and will be leaving this weekend. We are sad to see them leave as they are sweet girls with great artistic talent and we have all become fond of them. We wish them well and we'll stay in contact through facebook.
How appropriate that Kristie chose POP'S (known for their delicious grilled cheese sandwiches), as it came to our attention that it was National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Maria !!
This little guy is quacking all over town letting everyone know it is a day for celebration!!
May today be a WONDERFUL day; may each day of your next year be filled with joy, love, laughter, and good health; and please know that you are surrounded by love today!!
Happy Day, dear niece! Quack!!
Bowling Nuns
Look at these bowling nuns!
Tom, where do you find these unique figurines? These vintage Lefton china figurines surprised me in the mailbox with a "Happy Easter" note. You truly are the BEST, Tom!! I love surprise packages and I love these. My convent is growing ~ what a crew of nuns I have. I send big ((hugs)) of gratitude and I send Easter Blessings to you up there in Ohio. ♥

Wisteria Tree
Patrick, when you were here in 2010, you helped me dig the hole for a very small Wisteria tree. The ground was like rock and I couldn't dig it myself. Ever since then, I've called this "our" tree. Look at it today! It is loaded with flowers this year! I love it!
How I wish you could be here to see it! ♥

Full Pink Moon
Here it is! Tonight's beautiful Full Pink Moon.
What a perfect night. Clear, calm, warm, a zillion stars, and this gorgeous moon.
Tree Art
Not sure what to call this ~ it's not a chime ~ yard art, I guess. Whatever, I picked it up at an estate sale, hung it in the front tree, and I am loving the burst of color!!

April Full Pink Moon
The actual full moon date is tomorrow, but I took these because it looks 99% full and the sky is clear. Never sure it will be clear on the date of the actual full moon. It's beautiful even at this stage. April's full moon is the Pink Moon. It is named after a type of Native American moss called phlox. Phlox is pink and it symbolizes upcoming Spring, rebirth, and freshness.
