There is such beauty in the simple things if only we take a moment to look. This lone cockscomb is in a pot in front of a restaurant. I nearly missed it, but took another glance back before getting in my car. One simple flower.... so much texture and so much beauty.

You are right about the darkness coming earlier, not much we can do but get used to it. I happen to love this time of year. Makes me stay in more :-D
