A Dalai Lama Thought

We can't be useful to ourselves unless we're useful to others. Whether we like it or not, we're all connected, and it is unthinkable to be happy all by oneself. Anyone concerned only by his own well-being will suffer eventually. Anyone concerned with the well-being of others takes care of himself without even thinking about it. Even if we decide to remain selfish, let us be intelligently selfish - let us help others.

  2. I love this. I clearly remember the first time I KNEW we were all connected. It was a God Zone moment, actually day, for me. We were at Sea World, the kids were 6 & 7...walking, looking into the eyes of all the different races and it was this moment of KNOWING we were all connected through one God, regardless of what we called Him or how we worshiped Him. I was graced with Peace the entire day. I love that memory. Thank you for reminding me. **blows kisses** Deb

  3. Thank you for sharing that memory on my Blog, Deb. If everyone could have one of those moments, think how peace would permeate our world.
    Have a blessed Sunday.

  6. Is it possible to be truly happy all by oneself? I wonder about that. We are all connected, and I know my happiest moments are when I am feeling that connection: from my family, my friends, my pets :), and from complete strangers (like Deb did). :) Thank you for the reminder, Audrey! xox
