Living the Creative Life

Our Living the Creative Life group met last night at Wally and Therry’s home for our Christmas celebration and annual handmade ornament exchange.  Pictured are the ornaments made for each of us. Always a fun project.

Ornaments made by Margaret were each personalized with our zodiac sign elements.

Amanda made each of us a little pouch from vintage silk fabric and filled each with Ferrero Bocher chocolates.

Immaculate Conception

Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

The Immaculate Conception is a doctrine of the Roman Catholic church that states that the Virgin Mary was free of original sin from the moment of her conception.

Pearl Harbor

Attack on Pearl Harbor - 80 years ago today - December 7, 1941.

Participating in a moment of silence minutes ago, to honor those 2403 Americans who lost their lives that day, brought tears to my eyes.

Neighborhood Lights

A few photos of decor around the neighborhood!  SO festive!

Monday Blues

“It’s Monday and poor mom is off to the dentist - not one of her favorite things. I will shower her with kisses when she returns home, just like she did with me last Monday after my dental work.”

Bead Tree

I couldn't leave this little twiggy tree alone.  Had to adorn it with colorful beads!!  They sparkle in the sunlight.

My Journal Bowl

My bowl of Mini Journals is overflowing!  How soothing it is to sit and page through these little works of art.

A Christmas Gift To Me

Bought myself a Christmas gift - another amazing tiny journal made by my Vancouver friend Mariette Hebert. It is 1-1/2”x2” and filled with her painting and stitching! The handcrafted walnut button was a gift to Mariette. This tiny journal is a wonderful work of art. I love it!

Visit her Etsy shop at Etsy.com - Petitbijouartshop.
The last photo is a bookmark she made and gifted to me. Thank you, my friend.

December 1st

Pretty view on my way into BTS to work in my booth.  Hadn't been there since Friday because I stayed home with Jake, so it needed some attention.
