Donuts on a Hazy Day
We went to a couple of estate sales on this misty hazy day. We didn't make it to Black Dog Salvage for a Mama Crockett donut as planned, so we stopped at Duck Donuts on our way home. A first for us. Very good warm donuts created with your choice toppings right before your eyes.

Farewell, my dear friend. I hold memories of our times together close to my heart. How happy your family members who preceded you in death will be to welcome you home.
My friendship with Bruno began in the 80's when I started working for him with his stamp business. Little did I know that he would become an important person in my life ~ a close friend and confidant. Over the years we shared many fun times together, many laughs and talks, and many wonderful meals that he prepared. He taught me much about life and the Italian way.
Thank you, my friend. I cherish the memories.
There is a new bright star in the sky!
Christmas sometime in the 1980's. I remember how excited I was. I had bought Bruno a new coat for Christmas. I will forever remember those happy sparkling eyes.

Rest in Peace my dear old friend, Bruno Codispoti. You were always there for me with your big kind heart. You were loved.

Mr. Toad

Mass on August 31st
Mass tonight was for my Mom. I spent some extra time remembering when she used to be there right by my side in the pew. I miss her.
After Mass, I lit a few candles for the safety of all in the path of Hurricane Dorian.
Took a few photos in the church courtyard and the view of the mountains seen from the church entrance.

I took these on our way out to dinner last evening. It was a gorgeous Friday night ~ calm, peaceful, and in the 70s. Pretty much perfect!
